\r\n Overview<\/span>\r\n <\/h2>\r\n \r\n
The Africa Digital Campus (ADC) is a three-year e-learning project coordinated by IRD (France) and WACREN (Ghana), and piloted in two Francophone countries - Burkina Faso and Benin.

The French Development Agency (AFD) finances ADC with funds delegated by the European Union within the framework of the Programme - \u2018Connectivity and Digital Solutions to Strengthen the Resilience to the Crisis of Education, Health and MSMEs in the Member States of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP)\u2019.<\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\r\n Objectives<\/span>\r\n <\/h2>\r\n \r\n
The main objective of ADC is to foster the continuity and quality of higher education and research to mitigate the impact of the crisis on beneficiary countries and increase the development of e-learning in West Africa.\n \nSpecifically, the project seeks to enhance access to and affordability of connectivity and digital services to targeted beneficiaries in the education sectors to improve their capacity to face the COVID-19 crisis.<\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\r\n Expected Impact<\/span>\r\n <\/h2>\r\n \r\n
By the end of the project, stakeholders hope to see a robust ecosystem of advanced e-learning (distance learning) established and functional within the two beneficiary institutions - Virtual University of Burkina Faso and the University of Lokossa (Benin), with hundreds of thousands of members of the academic community using the e-learning system established by the project.
Also, the results and impact of this pilot will be a convincing case for a national scale-up and an example to other countries.

By the close of 2024, mobility connections will support infrastructure like high-speed connectivity learning management systems. Also, tailored e-learning courses would have been running on the eLearning system with educators and students uptaking same within and outside their campuses. In the end, the learning community on the two campuses will have no limitation in imparting and acquiring knowledge, making them an active part of the global learning ecosystem.<\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\r\n The Four Pillars of ADC<\/span>\r\n <\/h2>\r\n \r\n
